HRM-module

The problem was that employers registered the above points in Word or Excel due to a lack of HRM tools. Employee files were often hard copy in thick binders of which the irons no longer fit together. The requests for leave and sick reports were often made by telephone or e-mail, with all the inefficiency and the risk of uncertainty that entailed.

The Word and Excel documents were often updated by certain HR employees. But you cannot simultaneously with multiple people in these files. And if a formula is changed once, the entire file can become unusable. In the hard copy employee files, it turned out that most of the employees were no longer employed. There was no clear procedure for disposing of these files upon the termination of employment. The problem with all kinds of correspondence by telephone and e-mail is to record it or to be able to find this correspondence.

The problem: HRM matters are not properly arranged digitally

Solution: HRM functionalities from now on digitally centralized online

The solution to the aforementioned problems was an extension of Celery with an HRM module in which the above problems could be registered online and digitally. The advantage of one system for both payroll and HRM is the fact that new employees only need to be created once. Also, holiday leave requests and sick hours registered in HRM can be included directly in the pay run of the relevant month.

At the beginning of 2016, Celery set up a working group of HR Managers. This group included several HR Managers from parties who already processed their payroll administration in Celery. During a few sessions with these parties, a picture was sketched of the desired HR tools and options, which points were subsequently worked out. After this, the development of the Celery HRM module started.

An important point in this development is that the HRM module had to be fully utilized by clients of Payroll Services Providers (PSP). The PSP then processes the salary administration, but that employer can use all HRM tools within the HRM module himself. A perfect combination and interaction between PSP and its clients.

The result: the Celery HRM module

As a result, after extensive development and testing period, the HRM module became available within Celery in the course of 2017. The use of the HRM module is not a must, but a conscious choice by the employer. So you don’t have to pay for it if you don’t use the module.

Employees who are created in payroll are also in HRM. There is a possibility to upload HRM documents and share them online with a selected number of employees at the touch of a button. Employee files can be created online in which all kinds of documents can be uploaded. It can also be indicated per document whether or not the file is visible to the employee. And in addition to various HRM reporting options and the registration of extra HR information per employee, employees can consult an HR Calendar online from their employee account and request holidays and/or report sick online. The only thing HR has to do after that is approve or reject these requests.

With this solution, Celery has become a very complete package, not only for payroll but also for HRM!

Practical research shows that there is a great need among employers for a single package for both payroll and HRM. They often use separate systems or use payroll software in combination with Excel and paper personnel files. Integration is now possible. You simply activate the HRM module within your current Celery set-up and you can immediately get started with the HRM module.
