As of January 11, the Wage tax table and social premiums 2017 for Aruba were already updated in Celery. As of February 8, also the Wage tax table 2017 for St. Maarten is included in Celery. SZV premiums 2017 of St. Maarten were already updated some time earlier in Celery.

Regarding Aruba there is almost nothing to report. The wage tax table and social premiums have remained the same in 2017 in comparison to 2016. The only difference is that the pensionable age is increased by half a year to 61.5 years since January 1, 2017.

As for St. Maarten, there is no difference in SZV premiums and SZV Wage Limit. The Wage Tax tables have been changed, although minimal. For example, in 2017 based on a base salary of ANG 4,000 per month, ANG 1.90 more wage tax must be deducted than in 2016. Furthermore, the tax allowances have remained the same in 2017 or decreased by a few guilders.

Noteworthy for the Wage tax in St. Maarten payrolls is that from now on Celery will calculate the wage tax based on the Income Tax Table. This can have as consequence that the wage tax calculated by Celery can differ some cents or guilders from the wage tax amounts mentioned in the periodic Wage tax tables.
