Taxes and social premiums 2023

The official wage tax tables and social premiums for 2023 are known for almost all countries in Celery. Below we list some notable changes.

Aruba
In 2023, the tax-free sum will be increased from AWG 28,861 to AWG 30,000 per year.

In the 2023 Wage Tax Table, the rates of brackets 1 and 2 have been reduced by 2%, and brackets 2, 3, and 4 have also been widened.

And due to a change in the minimum wage as of January 1, 2023 to AWG 1,893.40 gross per month, the same wage also applies as the lower limit for the 2023 Table Small Income Allowance (Reparatietoeslag). And in addition, and regarding pensioners, in this table, the currently highest surcharge of AWG 125 is further increased to AWG 170 per month.

Social premiums have remained unchanged in 2023.

Caribbean Netherlands
The tax-free allowance has increased sharply by USD 5,154 from USD 12,198 to USD 17,352 per year.

Social premiums have remained unchanged in 2023.

Curacao
The wage tax rates have remained the same as in 2022, but the tax brackets have become somewhat wider in 2023. As a result, employees will pay a few to ten guilders less wage tax per month, up to a maximum of approximately ANG 120 per month. In addition, all fiscal allowances have increased by a few guilders on an annual basis.

The SVB wage limit has increased sharply from ANG 73,647.60 to ANG 80,059.20 per year. This amounts to an SVB wage limit of ANG 6,671.60 per month. The other social premiums remain unchanged.

St. Maarten
These have not yet been announced with regard to SZV premiums, wage tax, and tax allowances. In Celery, we will therefore use the same amounts in 2023 as in 2022.

Surinam
The tax-free sum has increased sharply from SRD 48,000 to SRD 90,000 per year.

The applicable wage tax percentages have remained the same, but the tax brackets have changed as follows:

In addition, the maximum tax-free amounts of Vacation Allowance and Bonus / gratification have been changed from SRD 6,516 to SRD 10,016 per year.
