Read our blog post to learn more about the changes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paragraph-wrap\">\n<p>For the minimum wage, Aruban legislation has two categories.<\/p>\n<p>The first category &#8216;Industry, Construction and Industry&#8217; can be classified into:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>40 hours work week;<\/li>\n<li>42 hours work week;<\/li>\n<li>44 hours work week;<\/li>\n<li>45 hours work week.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The minimum wages will be as of 1 August 2017:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>monthly: \u00a0 \u00a0 Awg. 1,711,15;<\/li>\n<li>weekly: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Awg. 399.10.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is converted per hour:<\/p>\n<table border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"1\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Weekly<\/td>\n<td>40<\/td>\n<td>42<\/td>\n<td>44<\/td>\n<td>45<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Hourly wage<\/td>\n<td>Awg. 9.98<\/td>\n<td>Awg. 9.50<\/td>\n<td>Awg. 9.07<\/td>\n<td>Awg. 8.87<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>For the second category, being household services, the minimum wage is Awg. 798.30 if the employee lives with the employer and works for more than 22 hours a week, and otherwise the minimum hourly wage is Awg. 8.90 per hour.<\/p>\n<p>Source:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.overheid.aw\/informatie-dienstverlening\/loon-minimumloon_43170\/\">Aruba Goverment Website<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The government of Aruba announced a change of the minimum wage on their official website.
